Factors that Shape Places allows students to investigate the human impacts of life on the Kurnell peninsula through history.
Students will complete a Geographical Inquiry process to investigate "How do people shape the shores of Botany Bay?"
Students will examine a variety of perspectives as they collect, analyse and compile data as part of undertaking a feasibility study for the introduction of a ferry service to the area.
GE3-3 compares and contrasts influences on the management of places and environments
GE3-4 acquires, processes and communicates geographical information using geographical tools for inquiry
Perspectives of traditional Aboriginal lifestyle are integrated throughout the program.
